I also have a ticket open with QNAP which should be closing soon making sure that the system is running optimally and nothing funky is going on there either. Shrinivas Ramani wrote:Could I bother you to do a quick check for me when you have some time?Īlready ahead of you! I have a test setup ready to go where I duplicate a project on the local default database location, but I've been waiting for time to actually do a video that i can send to support as there are a lot of other issues - the startup is just the tip of the problem - once i'm editing there are ENORMOUS delays between any movement or adjustment of anything on the timeline where the whole application goes unresponsive. If it is significantly faster, we can start by reversing each step - reconnect USB peripherals, restart Resolve then reconnect the NAS database, restart Resolve etc - till the problem is apparent. Please capture logs again so we can examine the difference. Save a dummy empty project there, disconnect the NAS databases from the project manager (which is ok, as you can connect back again) and restart resolve. Ensure that just the mouse, keyboard and perhaps the network cable are connected (without other USB/wireless peripherals).Ĭ. You can literally create a test folder and let everything sit under it.ī. Please create a default empty database on your local disk (not the NAS) - please ensure from preferences, that the Gallery, Cache and other folders are set locally too. Eliminating the NAS involvement during startup would give us a better idea of what would be a "normal" startup for your machine.Ĭould I bother you to do a quick check for me when you have some time?Ī. There is definitely an unusual lag seen in logs - we're trying to figure out why the NAS has such asymmetrical behavior from what we're observing on our systems.
